UK Health Executive confirms it will stick to Vape regulatory decision making
Not long ago, UK Health Secretary Neil O’Brien informed MPs that the UK delegation to the Conference of the Parties (COP10) to the World Health Organization Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (WHO FCTC) would not be agreeing to any decisions affecting the regulation of e-cigarettes in the country.
Q: To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Affairs what position his Department will put forward on e-cigarettes at COP10 of the World Health Organization Framework Convention on Tobacco Control
A: Ministers have no plans to attend the 10th Conference of the Parties (COP10) to the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control.
As is customary, and in line with usual practice, the UK delegation will be made up of officials from the Department.
Government Departments regularly set out our position on e-cigarettes at the COP10 of the FCTC and will set out our position at the next meeting in November 2023.The UK delegation will be composed of officials from the Department of Health, the Department of Health, the Department of Health, the Department of Health, the Department of Health and the Department of Health. The delegation does not agree with any decisions that would affect our regulation. Regulated e-cigarettes are available to adult smokers who wish to quit.
