Russia Tobacco products production increased by 26.3%


According to Rosstat’s industrial production bulletin for the first half of 2023, the industrial production index reached 106.5% in June 2023 compared to the same period in 2022, with the output of tobacco products growing by 26.3%.

On July 26, Rosstat released a bulletin on industrial production in the first half of 2023, with the index of industrial production reaching 106.5% in June 2023, including a 26.3% increase in the output of tobacco products, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reported.


According to the bulletin, it benefited from a significant rise in the production of computers, electronic and optical products (up 71.6%), the production of automobiles, tractor-trailers, and semi-trailers (up 151.7%), and the production of finished metal products (up 45.8%), among other sectors.


Earlier, Rosstat reported that since December 2022, prices for gasoline producers have almost doubled.


In May-June, the increase in consumer fuel prices was insignificant, ranging from 1.6% (gasoline 95) to 0.3% (diesel).
