Polish Police Take Action Against Illegal Sale of E-cigarettes to Minors in Mazowiecki

The authorities in Mazowiecki, Poland, have responded to two separate reports from a concerned parent regarding their underage daughter’s successful purchase of an electronic cigarette from a local store. Following an investigation, the police confirmed the validity of the parent’s complaints.

A 53-year-old shopkeeper has been issued a fine of 1000 złoty (approximately 1700 Chinese Yuan) for selling e-cigarettes to minors.

In accordance with the Health Protection Act Consequences of Tobacco and Tobacco Products Use, the sale of tobacco products to individuals under the age of 18 is strictly prohibited. This enforcement action underscores the commitment of law enforcement to uphold regulations aimed at protecting the health and well-being of young people in the community. Authorities continue to emphasize the importance of adherence to such regulations to prevent the access of tobacco and related products to underage individuals.
