Philip Morris Japan Launches IQOS Recycle Program to Promote Sustainable Device Disposal
Philip Morris Japan has recently introduced the IQOS Recycle Program, a commendable initiative aimed at collecting and recycling used IQOS devices. Customers can now participate by simply depositing their unwanted devices into designated collection boxes located at nearby IQOS stores. In collaboration with Terracycle Japan, this program encourages the recycling of unused IQOS devices, which have gained significant popularity as an alternative to traditional cigarettes, not only in Japan but also in other markets.
The collection points are conveniently available at six IQOS stores across Japan, including Sapporo, Ginza, Umeda, Shinsaibashi, Hiroshima, and Fukuoka. The recycling initiative encompasses all IQOS device models, as well as authentic IQOS accessories like chargers and cables.
To further incentivize participation, the program offers Terracycle points based on the quantity of devices collected. This initiative underscores Philip Morris Japan’s commitment to environmental sustainability and responsible waste management.
By implementing the IQOS Recycle Program, Philip Morris Japan sets an excellent example for other companies to adopt eco-friendly practices that minimize their environmental impact. By providing customers with a simple and accessible method to recycle used devices, Philip Morris not only prolongs the lifespan of its products but also promotes responsible consumption and disposal.
