Nielsen data in December: vapes as a whole declined by 9.9% Vuse ranked first, accounting for 42%

In Dec, according to data from the Convenience Store, the market share of British American Tobacco brand Vuse remained at 42 percent, while the market share of second-ranked Juul fell from 24.3 percent to 24.2 percent.

Recently, according to Journal Now, the latest Nielsen, based on convenience store data, the market share of British American Tobacco brand Vuse remained at 42 percent in December, while the market share of second-ranked Juul fell from 24.3 percent to 24.2 percent. NJoy’s subsidiary in Altria Group has not changed, and its share remains at 2.6%. The blu of Kingdom Cigarettes also remained at 1.2%.

Notably, the overall e-cigarette category declined by 9.9%.

The Nielsen report mainly covers large chain stores, R.J. Reynolds Atomization Co., and Altria Group are urging the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to step up enforcement against “illegal” vaping tar e-cigarettes in the U.S. e-cigarette market.

 

Both companies estimate that these illicit goods account for about half of the U.S. vape market.
