Law Enforcement Discovers Counterfeit Alcohol Network

Law enforcement officers have discovered a network of small retail stores selling counterfeit dual-purpose alcohol-containing liquids. They also found a warehouse and its presumed distributor, who was detained in Kazan. In his car, they found and seized 100 boxes of 5,000 bottles (100 ml per bottle), totaling 500 liters. Keys to a garage were found on the distributor, where more than 13,000 bottles of 1,300 liters of alcohol and 409 blocks of counterfeit tobacco were seized.

According to preliminary data, the purchaser and two other suspects planned to sell the goods in stores in Kazan and Naberezhnye Chelny. Their actions constitute offenses under the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The seized products were sent for examination.
