In July, South Korea imported $14.49 million in vapes

On August 16, according to the data released by Korea Customs, the statistics on the import of electronic cigarettes in South Korea.

According to statistics, in July 2023, South Korea’s imports of all types of electronic cigarettes amounted to $14.49 million, an increase of 0.67% year-on-year and a decrease of 17.58% year-on-year; the weight of 162.6 tons, a decrease of 1.45% year-on-year and a decrease of 8.45% year-on-year; and the average unit price of $89.11 per kilogram, an increase of 2.15% year-on-year and a decrease of 9.98% year-on-year.

In July, China was South Korea’s largest importer of e-cigarettes, with an import value of $8.46 million, accounting for about 58.41% of imports, at an average price of $72.77 per kilogram and an import weight of 116.3 tons.

The second largest importer is Vietnam, with an import value of US$5.31 million, accounting for about 36.65% of the import value, an import weight of 38.3 tons, and an average import price of US$138.64 per kilogram.

The third largest importer in Malaysia, with an import value of US$642,000, accounting for about 4.43% of the import value, an import weight of 7.2 tons, and an average import price of US$89.17 per kilogram.
