Ghana has officially announced that it has banned all recreational vape products
Ghana has completely banned the sale, advertising and recreational use of electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS), such as e-cigarettes, by the public.
Recently, according to a press release issued by the Ghana Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the country completely banned the sale, advertising, and recreational use of electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS), such as e-cigarettes, by the public.
However, ENDS products can be registered as prescription drugs for the purpose of smoking cessation therapy.
The Ghana Food and Drug Authority claims to have issued notices to manufacturers, importers, wholesalers and retailers to immediately remove all advertisements on social media, billboards and neon advertisements and to stop importing these products.
It said there will be sanctions and penalties for non-compliance.
