British American Tobacco Relaunches VUSE Atomized Vape in Korea
On July 24th, British American Tobacco (BAT) officially announced the launch of its atomized e-cigarette brand, VUSE, in the Korean market, according to a report by Korea Economic News.
The e-cigarette launched in the Korean market is the “VUSEGO800” model, which features built-in e-cigarette oil and battery. The product will be available in limited quantities in Seoul and the surrounding areas, with plans to gradually expand sales to cover the entire country.
According to BAT, the launch of the VUSE series of e-cigarettes takes into account the high standards of safety and quality demanded by adult smokers in Korea, as well as their diverse needs for less harmful products than traditional cigarettes.
According to the information released by BAT, the e-cigarette oil capacity of the “VUSE800” model is 1.95 milliliters (0.9% nicotine content). The battery has a capacity of 515 mAh and can attract up to 800 puffs on a single charge.
The product is offered in four different flavors, they are ColdFresh, PurpleBreeze, DolceBrown and GreenSpark.
According to BAT’s own survey data, as of June 2023, it has a 46% market share in the U.S., making it the No. 1 e-cigarette brand in the U.S. by market share this year.
BAT representative Kim Eunji (김은지) said:
“BAT Korea plays a very important role in the development of ‘ABetterTomorrow’. With this new product launch, adult smokers in Korea will have more choices for products that reduce potential health hazards.”
